Is that a standard 2.0 zetec 130 brake? (I think) focus engine or a st170 engine?
I bought a 2.0 zetec focus with the intention of putting the engine into my 1.4 daily focus but after ''competing'' with a 1.6 Toyota Carina over a distance of a mile or so (on a private road) in the 2.0 I was left very disappointed with the performance from it.
If I were to carry out the transplant as I had planned I'd be looking into using a st170 instead, the standard 2.0 wouldn't be worth the effort IMO.
Hats off on the conversion though, looks like a tidy job.
Yeah, they are only 130bhp, not exactly powerful, but at the end of the day it's a cheap and reliable engine for a daily car, the st170 engine would be the way to go for power if budget allows.
For a standard manifold it's not bad, I am looking at fitting a Mazda MX-5 stainless manifold, the port distances are very similar, just a case of swapping the flange over, hopefully, cheaper than even the mild steel RWD Zetec manifold
