Hi! In the beginning I want to warn you: I write pretty good finnish rally-English. ;D But if you can't understand: take a look at the pictures! I bought my first project in 2007. I worked on it about four years. Last summer I drove about 1000 kilometres with it. There are some upgrades to do next summer: the engine is so loose that it burns oil just as much as gasoline. Here are some pictures: This is how I bought it Engine lifted out Almost everything was stripped out This wasn't fun at all Bottom painted and protected from stones. Here you can see the "garage" where I did almost all of the work. Not too much space and there was quite cold sometimes. I think the coldest was -20 c. Rebuilding front fenders First time out after painting. I painted it myself in that "garage" of mine. That painting was my first and it isn´t bad at all. Had to try polishing Rebuilted front brake calipers. I painted them and bought new seals. My father lathed stainless steel pistons to calipers Exhaust made Bought cheap gutman rims and painted them. Poor quality in this pic. Interior is almost original And finally ready to rock and roll ;D I lowered it a "little bit". In the front you can find Vw caddy shock absorbers and shorter springs. And the rear has shorter shock absorbers and aluminium bars between rear axis and leaf springs. More pictures of the engine project coming soon.

Brilliant work! do you have any pics of the Gutmann wheels on the car before they got painted black? Machining the stainless caliper pistons is one of the coolest things I've read today.

I only have that picture of gutmann rims before painting I should had take more pictures during work. I must take more pictures in the future. Before I could paint rims black I had to remove old lacquer. Rims had many corrosion spots too. I wanted to polish perimeters (if you know what part I mean) ;D but there were too much corrosion spots. So I had to sandblast the perimeters.

Okay, I found a cure for loose engine. I think there is coming some more power too. Couple months ago found a pile(almost whole engine) of parts in low prise. (Whole project is done low budjet if you hadn't noticed) Parts I found: -4K block with +0,05mm bore -Oversize pistons -3K cylinder head with bigger intake ports -280 degree camsaft -A little bit bigger dellorto carburetor -Self made exhaust manifold. Looks like Martelius and welded quite well I bought later two sets of full seal sets and crane cams electronic ignition system. I disassembled the engine and checked all parts. I think that engine is rebuilt recently. I have to disassemble the cylinder head too and atleast change valve stem seals. Block and oil pan cleaned out I found cheap and cool paint ;D This is test because some say that normal paint doesn't stick on the block and some say it sticks very well. Sylinder head Seals Some kind of sound system: Chinese usb radio and Blaupunkt ballspeakers. Those orange ones are earplugs, these are needed in longer trips Ke 20 is sleeping in the "good" chinese tarpaulin garage. Some salt in the colander. This far no mold

Hienosti remontoitu, kivaa että näistä tehdään muuta kuin vaan sprintti- ja jokkisautoja. Kaverilta ostettiin ke27 mistä kuulema piti teettää sprinttiauto... Ei ole näkynny sen jälkeen.
Sorry for the finnish! ;D

Yep, let's try to write English. As you said too many corollas and other rare old cars are in racing use.
