It’s a 1992 (last year of production for the mk2) Volkswagen Scirocco Scala 1.8 K jetronic, 112 bhp. I have just returned from a 1600 mile round trip, where it performed faultlessly, averaged 38 mpg, that was a mix of motorway and town driving. Mechanically it is perfect, drives great with no issues. Since I’ve had it I’ve replaced coil overs for standard suspension, it handled great on collies but was too harsh for my liking, so is now completely original suspension wise. I have also changed anything else that has gone wrong or felt like it needed changing, including front brakes, both front wheel bearings, rear springs, various gaiters, O/S drive shaft and inner and outer CV joints, etc etc. I have no proof of a cambelt change, if the full asking price is met, I will have a new one fitted just in case. It has VW G60 steel wheels, with 4 almost new Cooper winter tyres. Great tyres, handle fantastic in the wet, can be used all year round, just don’t grip so well on hot tarmac, but I live in Scotland, so that’s not too much or a problem. Interior is very good, no rips tears, fag burns etc. It has a good Panasonic CD head unit, with Pioneer speakers up front and two enclosed 6x9’s in the boot. Pool ball gear knob isn’t included, but I have the original VW one to go back on. Underside is as to be expected of a VW of this age, no rust. Body work wise, it is very straight and rust free, there are a few very small and minor parking type dents, and a few little scratches, just age related marks, nothing at all serious. The lacquer is flaking a little on the 10mm wide strip below the number plate, not very noticeable and easily fixed. Colour is VW pearl green affect.
I have masses of old receipts and MOT’s, including the original bill of sale.
It has just passed an MOT with no advisories.

I would ideally PX this for something worth about half the value with MOT and tax, ideally a 4/5 door or estate plus cash, but I’m pretty open to anything so try me, I can only say no.
