This Is a dream car. Just read the entire thread, much thanks for posting here. My US spec 75 is sitting in my driveway waiting to be recomissioned. It's at that critical point where it could be scrapped or brought back to life, each option having equal merit based on its needs.
I've actually managed to come out of my recent divorce money-ahead, and I've got some plans for for the Alfa...

Should see a lot of progress on mine over the next few weeks, hopefully will have the engine running pretty soon.......as long as I can get to grips with the Ecu once it arrives.

Beautiful! Who makes the throttle body kit? I can't make out the name on the castings. The throttle bodies themselves are Jenvy but the manifolds were made by A H Motorsport

lovely looking engine! what sort of power are you hoping for Not sure really, the original engine was around 220ish I believe, I don't think it would be un-reasonable to expect around 250? Depending on the map of course

So I pulled a late shift on Friday night, got the flywheel from the old engine fitted to the new one..... Then came the bell housing and starter motor..... Then came the fun bit...............engine in time!!! Once in I got on with re-building the injectors and fitting the fuel rails...... A lot of other work has gone on but nothing really noteworthy, I will keep you updated when it does

Had the fun of this arriving today, it's a semi made engine loom. Just have to add in what's required for your specific requirements then trim/terminate the leads And so began the fun of wiring in the injector/coil pack leads. I also added a shift light, fan controller, lambda sensor and something else which evades my memory Wasn't much fun trying to feed it all through the firewall. But got there in the end and very loosely layed out the route for the wires in order to plan how many branches will be required from the main bulk of the loom once it's all terminated and tidied up That's all for now! Next part should see the wiring finished, oil cooler fitted, hopefully I can work out a decent routing for the throttle cable as it's currently very poor and sticks a lot.......who said customising wasn't fun?

Feel like ive been working my fingers to the bone but cant see a huge amount of progress, anyway here goes..... Front bumper fitted, Only to get an idea where to mount the oil cooler which is now done but i seem to have forgotten to take pictures of that :/ Fuel hose is plumbed all the way into the engine bay (didn't calculate the right amount of connectors when i ordered them so haven't gone any further yet) Wired in a live and ground to the ecu to check it actually works.....Pleased to report it does Wired in a shift light.... Then came the part ive been dreading for a while, Making the engine loom All went really well, I havent wired in the sensors yet as I'm sadly cursed with the need to sleep. Should get it sorted though and then..........first start

Well its been a little while again as usual. I have reached the point in the build where i can spend days working on it with no real noticeable change but finally there is something worth showing. Been working away trying to set the ride height, Not much fun playing around with torsion bars and the add on coilover kit which ive fitted but it can be fun laying with different heights. This was the first attempt, Sitting ever so slightly lower than id like..... Offered up the front bumper, lights and grille (not bolted in) just to see how it all sits Rear bumper is now fitted, car will be going away to have a full custom exhaust built a week tomorrow I did manage to get the engine started the other day, not very good with videos but if i can work it out ill upload one. Was running with no manifolds so sounded like a single cylinder generator but it idled very well and seemed to be all working well enough.

That is 'stupenda!' It translates to something like this...
stupenda {adjective} wonderful · gorgeous · fantastic
Well done, a truly quality build.

I think I am officially a youtuber??
I forgot to press record when I was starting the engine though so sadly it's already running as the video starts but here it is.....
You will see what I mean about it sounding like a single cylinder generator at the moment......will be sure to do another few once the exhaust is done

One of the first times the term automotive porn is used correctly. this really looks better than the nipples on a chocolate dipped supermodel!
