surely its a commer cob as it has no side windows? Any one remember that orange one done in the early 80s which was a feature car in Street Rod & Machine Monthley back in the day? very forward looking car when you consider what else was being built still then.

there was a Cob & Husky on the "Mark" Minx, the "Series" Minx and the Imp, early 50s though about 1970 IIRC.

I would have said that's a Commer Cob - compare it with the Husky, which in green form was built by Chris Hay and had an Alpha (?) twin cam. Then Dave Rothwell had it and stuck a Cossie in it and painted it biege - might be the other way round cos i'm senile....
As I was saying compare the two bodily and they're quite different - look at the rear wings on the Husky! Not big on the Rootes stuff although I watched the series on the telly in the eighties - terrible the way they treated them slaves....
However, my mum and dad had a Commer Cob 40-ish years ago that they cut windows into the side to avoid high road tax or summink. Seeing pics of it mind, it looks like the Husky. praps there's several types of Commer Cob etc.
Whatever, that one looks the nuts - love the Cragars but is it Pro-Street? Got all the elements but it's not the archetypal tubbed to feck, slammed on the ground mother that goes with the PS look. Mind you don't really care what label to put on it's OOOOOFF!

There's a Cob in a barn near me, been there for ages by the looks of it. Funny old farmers though who apparently you'd struggle to buy anything from. In the flesh it's such a dumpy, chunky thing, looks just like a big Dinky toy. Just ripe for some treatment? It'll probably just get weighed in one day

that green one is a "Mark" type Husky/Cob, the red one is a "Series" type - a later body style so thats probably why the wings are different. I agree though - almost anything gets called pro street whether it is or not. I just borrowed what it said in his eBay auction.

There was a really sweet tub'd pro-street husky at shutts this year... thought I had a pic but can't find on now I think Russ had a snap, but he's in hiding... It was kind of duck egg blue with lots of tubular stuff. GNARLY.
