Car Boot sales.
You can record over 8 tracks if you have an 8 track recorder. So all those Tijuana Brass plays The Beetles Hits tapes may not be so useless after all. You should find one or more on eBay at any time. Theres a company called Quad 8 Audio or something similar based up in Scotland sells refurbished and NOS 8 track gear as well as selling parts and tapes. Including blanks. They did have a website but I can't find it now.
When they work 8 tracks sound pretty good.

That's so old skool. For ultimate kudos fit a multi disk mp3 changer behind that but somehow leave it looking stock.

That's ace! I'm sure my Dad has a box of eight-tracks somewhere, my brother has a dash mountable seven inch vinyl player somewhere too - nice!  |

Those old record decks are cool as anything but I wouldn;t play any 7" in there I wanted to keep. The needle weight on them is awesome, they can aledgedly cut right through a disc if you play it enough!

watch out as 8 tracks have a habit of winding the tapes tighter and tighter until they sound funny/won't play.
