Our Respective "lists" are very often mentioned. However have you ever sat and thought about it. Whats on your "list"? Do you ever intend on buying them? Is it realistic. I have often mused about it whilst driving around in my van, and decided to share the cars I hope to own in the future. Some near some distant: AE86. Gotta be a Levin and Gotta be a Notch instead of a coupe. Love the look of them, the history of them and the way they get used. Would have to be without any bodykits. PS13 Silvia. Again for the reasons I want an AE86. People may recognise the 105e Pictured as Johnny69's. That is because once the Xflow is back in, it will in my eyes be pretty much perfect! Right colour, right height and right engine! Love it Love it Love it! The GF also wants one so this is quite high up the list. Corsair. Love the styling. Must be very low, Banded Lotus Steels and Essex V6 Powered. Also very High up on the list. Mk2 Escort 4 door. Preferably in beige, low and on 8x13's. Zetec with original injection system. Skyline R32 Sedan. Love the 4 door Skylines. They just look longer and lower. Gr8 4 Drft as well! Morgan Plus 4. This is my new car obsession. I just love the ethos of the company and the fact that the cars are built largely the way they always were. Its a long term want as they're expensive but I hope to get there! Anyway what are yours! *Warning* it may be trickier than you think!

My list is diverse and complex. The definite and realistic bit is the Capri. In three years' time I will have paid off most of my debts (hopefully), at which point I'll buy a Capri and commission somebody like Retro Power to build a replica of the Capri I used to own: ...except with a 24v Cosworth V6 under the bonnet. The lottery wishlist falls into two parts. The first is if I win a moderate amount - say enough to buy a house and a few cars, in which case (along with the Capri) it will be: A PS Autoart Retro Touring R... ...a mkII Escort, South London style... ...and a modern project; the current idea is the new Volkswagen CC, on air, with 19" Rotiform BLQs, in that bottle green that the new Skoda Octavia comes in, with mkI Escort RS2000-style sidestripes painted in cream, and cream lace paint panels on the roof. But this concept changes all the time. (I'm also having funny ideas about the Audi RS4 and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.) For the big lottery win, we're looking at: - mkI Lotus Cortina - mkII Cortina 1600E - mkI Escort Twin-Cam - mkII Escort RS2000 - Ferrari 250 GT Lusso Berlinetta - Bentley Brooklands - split-screen VW Camper - mkI VW Golf GTI - split-window Corvette Stingray - AE86 Corolla (balls-out drift spec) - R32 Skyline GT-R (standard) - Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione - Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT - Ferrari 308 GTB - Ferrari F430 Scuderia - Lamborghini 350 GT - Lamborghini Gallardo Trofeo Stradale - Mercedes 280SL Pagoda - Peugeot 205 GTI (Pug1Off build) - mkI Mazda MX-5 BBR Turbo - '69 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 - BMW 2002 Turbo - Maserati Mexico ...and quite a lot of others.

This is something that I've been contemplating a lot lately. The main reason is that as of last week I have no car at all (retro or modern) for the first time in 15 years (when I was 15!!) I have always owned retros as daily drivers (my newest daily was a 1991) but I'm going to have to go a bit more modern so my selection is a mixture or newish and proper retro. This list is what I'm targeting to get my hands on over the next 5 years. First off I want to get my hands on one of these little demons to restore/fettle After that I am going to get my hands on one of these (V6 only) as a daily. Black or Red but has to have the cream leather interior. Once I have myself sorted I have to get the GF into what she has always wanted (I hear some of you ask WTF?? but when you see where I am going next it will all make sense) So that's the plan for the next 12-24 months - after that the plans get a bit bigger. Oh yes Needless to say that things will have to go very well for that to happen. Should that not quite work I'm targeting one of these in 996 Carrera 2 format And if a gaggle of sprogs should occur in the interim this will do as a very fine family alternative in 55 AMG format. Once that little bit sorts itself out I will finally get my hands on one of these and depending on where I'm living either cinq/sei engine it or heat up the original engine. So......not hoping for much then.........

My list is too long, but I don't think anything on it is over £10,000 so most of it is kinda achieveable. TBH most of it is around £1000 lol. Anyway...... Saab 9000 Aero AE86 - seems to be a popular choice for "the list" Vauxhall Omega - I know I've already owned one, but it makes it back on my list as I really want another one! Sierra Cosworth - gotta be a 2WD Saff in white Celica 5 gen (not a GT4) - would love to drop one mega low on Advan SA3Rs EDIT: JZX81 ......there are loads more but it's mostly tat.

I'd rather buy something cheap and spend money making it different!

My list is currently at circa 327 and being added to on a daily basis. There's stuff from original GT40 (42's for my frame) right down to a Cavalier Turbo 4x4. One day ill put it into writing.
But that's a bit too much like commitment.

My list is quite restrained as well with nothing too expensive - MGTC Isetta (had to sell mine to fund sons first Xmas) Messerschmitt Cabin Scooter Porsche 912 (911 shape but 1600 four pot 356 engine) Jeep CJ5 (my last one was ex Iraq army !) VW Beetle 1303S Smart Roadster (I've got a Smart coupe at present) Austin Seven Ruby Volvo 164 Volvo P1800 - not 1800S (couldn't afford to restore the Jensen built one I bought as "retirement" present to myself) [http://bilar.sorliden.se/hemsida/Img_9952.jpg/img] MKIII Cortina 2000GT 2 door (my father had a pre production version) Capri 1600GT MKI XLR - pre facelift (I remember them being intorduced and used to drool over one on my paper round in 1969) (couldn't find a decent pic in my desired colour - gold with black bonnet) 1956 Ford F100 in standard condition - not modified and probably plenty more but the above is enough to start with. First in mine is FD3 RX7 as its about as affordable as super cars get that also look fantastic.
Bit on the wish list TR7/X19 3 door Sierra Cosworth
There is something about the Peugeot 5008 that I quite fancy to nice family hack I think I would like one of those.
Of course there is the usual bout of Ferraris and such exotica but they are more pipe dream/lottery winning cars.

There is so many cars that are on my want list. And the more I look at RetroRides the more cars get added. I've lost count of the number of times I sit here shaking my head thinking "there are so many damn cool cars in the world". In no particular order... 73 Porsche 911 fiat 131, either flared or standard would do me. AE82 Corolla Twin Cam. Love the classic boxy hatchback shape, plus 4AGE NSX type-R BMW M1. Actually the CSL would make me *very* happy as well. And a bit more modern, a Caterham R500 would probably just scare the pants off me, but it'd be a blast till I binned it! ...and the list could go on and on and on....

Got to have one of these, been dreaming about them since I was 8 ;D I had filthy dreams about what one would sound like long before I actually heard one. Days before the advances of modern tech where you actually had to see one for real or at least on TV to get an idea of what it sounded like. I wasn't dissapointed when I did finally get to hear one that's for sure. AMAZING

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say my Want List changes, but that there are some cars that are always on the list. Daimler DS420 (hearse or limousine, I'm not fussed). Something about these ticks all the boxes for me even though they're too big, too thirsty and too expensive to run as a private car. Still would, if I had a realistic chance. This Riley RME. A wooden framed led sled? Yes I would. I doubt this will ever happen but it's nice to dream. This Delahaye. This is a truly aspirational car, something I will never, ever own and in some ways I'm glad that I'll never own it because I think I'd be too worried about damaging it to ever use it properly. Citroen BX (estate or saloon, not fussed). I've loved these since the first time I ever saw one. In silver or black with red trim, no boot spoiler and the most 80s-futuristic wheels I could find. I'd drive everywhere wearing a variety of pastel hued linen suits, aviator glasses and Duran Duran blasting out of the radio... or at least pretending I was. Lotus Europa. Black, lime green or red over white for preference. I'm sure they're rubbish, and they're not exactly a looker, but they're another car I've wanted since I first saw one. Jaguar S Type. I was all set up to find one of these and had even started doing research and getting money together to have one as a long-term project until the last car on my list happened. I still would, if one came up at the right price and time, but for now I'm just going to let this sit quietly on the Want List. What has surprised me is my recent purchase of an Austin Princess, a car I've always liked but have never put on the Want List has turned very much into a Want List car.

Oooh, tough one, as if I had the funds, I'd just keep changing a circulation of cars... So: A couple of modern new ones - one of which I plan to put a deposit on and run the SLK until it's built... (Closest I could find to the spec I would have, the cheapest Morgan. 1.6, yes, but they're only the same price as a new SLK or Z4. Given the reasons for wanting 2 seats and no roof, why have anything else! Though if money were not a barrier, it'd be a Plus 8). Yeah, I know. But i like them. The boring car I don't care about. I'd probably get a Jaguar XJ or see if I could persuade Chrysler UK to sell me a 4.0 petrol Grand Voyager (they're all CRDs here). Now, the classics... Top of the list. No kidding. I'd also have one of the rare 3300SL estates (basically a Ventora estate).

Mostly lottery win stuff, but a few realistic ones too... Riley MPH, preferably with a blower. The White Riley* Late '30s Riley Kestrel six light - Minimum engine would be 15/6 or Sprite spec 12/4, but a big four lump or even an Autovia triple cam hemi V8 would be nice! Riley RMB Reinboldt & Christie coachbuilt drophead Riley Pathfinder, with o/d '34 Packard 12 roadster Tatra T77 '60s Lagonda Rapide '70s / early '80s Lagonda Maserati Quattroporte I, and also an early '90s QP (the final Gandini one) An outwardly very scruffy looking E Type S1 (either OTS or FHC, but not a 2+2), but with full Eagle upgrades and a set of wide slotmags ;D Ferrari 400i (or the earlier 365 version of that bodystyle) 1st gen Olds Toronado '53 Stude pillarless coupe MB Grosser 600 swb '58 Plymouth 4 door hardtop Sunbeam Tigger AC 428 Oh, and my Sprite. Actually working, fitted with a Shorrock, and also the Mamba wheels but without tyre scrub.... *When this was up for sale about 10 years ago for £250K, it was featured in Octane, and my father showed the article to my stepmother, saying that this is what he'd buy if he won the lottery. She then asked how much he'd have to win, to which he initially replied a few million, quickly correcting himself to say £300K, but he'd tell her he'd only won £50K ;D ;D

The list is ever developing, but.... Not retro, and unmodified, but a 911 has to be on my bucket list Esprit, but while the V8 is a nice idea, I'd probably want to tinker and take an older 4-pot and do a V6 transplant. In a similar vein : For the hoot it must be to drive, and neck-snapping spectacle. A project to do something a little cheeky and pro-touring like this (maybe the Scimitar will end of fulfilling that) A cheeky 240Z 'cos it's the most beautiful ugly car there is. An MGB done pro-touring and deleted flat-cap.
