I have always wanted one of these, but have been warned off most Japanese 90's complicated cars, like this and the 300zx and rx7 oh and a supra. But still want one! Don't see these anymore either, what plans do you have if any?!

there no bad to work on or get bits to be honest. just start with some bigger wheels and better exhaust and then with a new ecu and injectors etc, get it up to around 380bhp

as said you just don't see these anymore and that one looks pritty good for a motor over 20 years old, so many of these have been run into the ground.

A lot of car for not a lot of money! I changed the turbo on the rear bank for a mate, longest 8 hours of my life! Agreed not too bad to work on even though everything is rammed in the engine bay.

(Mine's the ZX) I'd like to get a picture of them together, but they're never parked in close proximity.

Std mate, probs around 5/6psi, think stock internals can take around 18psi. Want to get an apexi so I can up it abit, maybe think about bigger turbos in the summer but its my daily now so don't want to go mad with it, mainly add a few worthwhile upgrades and maintain it.
I wanted a mk1 but ended up with a mk2, the front ends grown on me now though.

standard on a mk2 should be 11, but if your boost solenoid is gone you wil be stuck at 5

What could I run it at without doing any other mods?

I've always had a little bit of a soft spot for these. Interesting to hear that people think they're not that bad to work on, I was expecting the exact opposite. There are an absolute heap of them over here in NZ, they're pretty cheap too... Might have to take a twin turbo one for a drive and see how they go.
Pretty long geared from what I remember reading?

No just the standard one mate.
I've noticed when cold it can be a curse word to get in 1st and 2nd, when warmed up its fine, you reckon a change on the box, transfer and diff oil will do the trick?

yeah it will help, they can be a bit notchy anyhow, the standard gauge is pointless it doesnt actually measure boost, get an aftermarket one only cheap
