Well after getting bored of my 02 astra i swapped it for this to use as my daily. It's a 1987 525e 2.7 economy model ;D It's got 177k on the clock, but had a full bmw top end rebuild 20k ago. Auto box is still great and she drives better then most of the cars i have owned. Little lumpy on idle, but noticed a few split marks on the induction pipes Short term plans are to get her re-mot'd and bring her back to full health, then start to add my mark to it
Gave it the once over for the mot and found a few bits that need doing
And then while showing a 1-series a clean pair of heels the center prop bearing gave out So stuck a new one on and a new front donut as the old one was looking tired.
So for mot:
- 4 c.v boots
- Both Pitman arms
- Front bump stops(although i don't think they are a fail item??)
