Hello peeps, well my daily driver saxo bored me and I wanted something a little quirky so chopped it in for this beast..... 1990 Mazda Familia Wagon SE EXECUTIVE!!! Well what can i say, spec is as follows: 1.5 12valve 75 bhp twin barrel carb engine 103 on clocks height adjustable coilovers 13x7" superlites, Arches have been bastardised to clear the rims but amazingly its pretty rot free. Powerflow stainless steel exhaust D1 lug nuts Non existant brakes!! 4x leccy windows, central locking, Power steering etc, must of been quite some machine back in 90!! plans are to drop the back end down, then rivet on some wide arches and then paint it, no idea what colour yet though.

yes will be dropped this week. it was on chopped springs but previous owner fitted universal adjustable platforms on the rear and seemingly didnt know how to do it as they have been mounted too high. Therefore it needs some amendment to get back end back down!!

Oh yes!!! Ive been waiting for ages for one of these to appear on here. when I was 15 we went car shopping as you do in the local used car lot and parked in the yard amongst the more expensive cars was this. for the huge expense of £195 as it was a trade in. ironically there was a more expensive one exactly the same in there as well. ever since then I haven't seen another 323 estate and I actually think, for some strange reason, I actually fell in love with that car. (only reason we didnt buy it was because someone else did 5 minutes before us ) another weird thing is both those 323 estates were the same colour as this. was it like the only colour they made them in

Fantastic little wagon you've got there. I love these old 323's. It looks the business lowered over those wheels. Can't wait to see how it looks once the arches go on!

like it! beats a saxo ten time over. rivet on arches would look awesome, if your interested though i have a one off wide arch kit built for the hatch version of these cars back in the 80's. its delta styled box arches built by terry briggs who rally crossed 323's back in the day. just a thought, would look awesome either way. white ftw ;-)

Hmmm thanks for offer but probably a bit too lairy for me. Finding parts for these seems bloody tricky. Also info on what other readily available engines that fit!

Looks ace! What coillies is it on?
Is it just me or does it look very Mk3 Golf-esque from the back?

no idea what front coilovers are. proper ones though, could possible be off a corsa or nova as fitment looks the same at a glance. they are adjusted about 3/4 of the way down. Rears were universal coilover sleeves fitted to the standard rear shocks with 2.25" springs

Ah, recognise this one from southwest dubs. Was a billy bargain from what I remember. Cool looking wagon. However, when choosing paint colour, I'm hoping you're going to avoid 'death knell' satin black!

no worries, thought id throw it out there. engine wise I'm currently installing a 1.6 turbo from the 4wheel drive model into a fwd 323 older shape. any gearbox from a b series engine will fit to the b6t engine. which provides 150hp out the box, weakness on the 4x4 model is the gearbox itself I'm using a mx3 gearbox on my build. or the later bg shape offers up a 1.8 turbo engine and easily works on any fwd gb from its era and range.
black has been overdone imho. think it would be nice in crisp white with black trim/arches etc

Thanks for the info smurf, sent you a PM, don't suppose you have or know of any spare door and front wing rub strips do you as mine seems to me missing the drivers door/wing ones.

That is such a cool wagon I would repair them arches properly and keep it that colour, think pop on arches will ruin this one, it looks great as is

Yeah similar size to passat, bit smaller I'd say. Think you maybe right on arches and paint, paintwork is good other than arch lips, drivers door and drivers wing
