1982 Pontiac Firebird, 3rd Gen.
Many, many extras, and probably to many to list, but I'll have a go,
Real Steel 383 Stroker kit (6.4 litre), built on a 4 bolt mains and is lightened and balanced, arp bolted, etc, etc. The heads are stock 350 heads polished and ported. Low base circle cam fitted, Holley 650 double pumper and K&N filter and lid. Edelbrock Torker 2 inlet manifold, and Edelbrock rocker covers. Hooker headers and full stainless exhaust system. Billet Ali dress up pulleys on the front of the engine and various stainless & Ally dress up parts to make it look nice. The engine bay was bare metal resprayed 3 years ago while the engine was being built. I have all the receipts for the motor and it was built by the guy I bought the car off who is an aircraft engineer. Having done the calculations from weight and quarter mile times it puts out about 320 brake horsepower. The engine has only done 1400 miles since being built, and the car has only done 55,000.
There is a shift kit fitted to the relativly newly rebuilt TH200 gearbox.
Rear axle is a low ratio (Can't remember, but will find out), it an LSD axle and has been polybushed.
Appliance wheels fitted which are Centreline copies and come fitted with 245x50x15's on the rear and 235's on the front.
The interior is pretty much stock and in very good condition. Aftermarket tacho fitted in place of the stock one (Subtle), B&M shifter and Italian aftermarket steering wheel.
The car is painted Midnight Blue with a gold bird on the bonnet. It's the 1st of the 3rd Gens and as such still has the rear lights from the 2ns Gen fitted (Looks nicer in my opinion) The painwork is very nice, but not immaculate as I like to use it if I can, but there is no rust on the car.
I have known the cars history for about 17 years and have owned it myself for the last 4.
I do have pictures on here, but I'll be buggered if I can put them up. I never had problems before, so will have a try tommorrow.
I do have quite a few spares with the car including a complete nosecone, mirrors, halfshafts, T Tops, front springs and a few other bits and pieces.
It's for sale because I acn't afford to run it anymore and need a car I can take to work, so am open to a part ex. I'm looking for something like a classic ford (Capri / Escort) or something I can use for a trackday like an MX-5, Honda S2000, Caterham, or even a Chopper.
Looking for 5k (Engine cost close to that), but am open to sensible offers and decent part ex's.
Thanks
Wayne
