I'll bump this back upto the top.
Ive sorted a couple of issues. Blue temp sender bought and fitted curing most of the lumpiness at idle, though I suspect the remaining lumpiness when cold is down to the uprated cam (which I have no information for, other than the word of the previous owner and the fact that the RE2000 conversion did include an uprated cam)
Exhaust centre section and door rubbing strip will be fitted on Thursday.
I did take more pics, but I suspect I should really wait until I have the rubbing strip on to show it in its best light.

Cheers Kee. Its certainly lively, just not what I really wanted.
Good luck with the sale of your Onion.
I could do with getting this shifted as I'm off to look at a new motor on Saturday and, although, I have the space for both, I really need to scratch some pennies together for RRG and such.

Ive PM'd you back.
Well, I went to go collect the required bits this afternoon, but the chap was called away so it'll have to wait until monday. Rest assured, I will get some more pictures up as soon as the rubbing strip is on and Ive cleaned it.

I actually pick up a new car tomorrow, and seeing as its packing a V8, I need this out of the way post-haste to afford to fuel the new beast.
I know I still need to take some snaps for this now its got a full compliment of rubbing strips and a quiet exhaust, but I'm at work and it seems when I'm not its raining.
I will endevour to get it under cover for some shots during my next days off.
But, basically, I'm now open to (sensible) offers on this.

Hello chap, would you be interested in a bit of a swap for an equaly boring, but more reliable, less leggy, more frugal (i see your other ride sports 8 cylinders) Ford Focus? late '99 V-reg, mot till the end of september, circa 90k miles, new front hoops, air con etc, 1.8 petrol (incidently, better on fuel and cheaper to insure than my recently departed pug 405td)

I'm afraid I'm not looking for swapsies, as I need the money to get the Chrysler to RRG, and I need the parking space back, and I wouldn't be able to stick it on my insurance as its +21y/o specifically. I will however ask my sister if she's interested in it, as she's currently looking for a motor.

I'm interested still if your interested in my Focus. I reckon a focus is a much easier sell, and would probs go for £900 on a 3 day auction?

Ive just stuck some juice in this an been for a 20mile hoon. After driving the Whale for abit this feels alive and very quick (although thats in isolation, it is certainly nippy)
I'll chuck a stock exhaust backbox and centre pipe in the boot to go with the sale, I had every intention of whipping the stainless off but buying the Chrysler means I haven't found the time..
I have also noticed today that the O/S/R door doesn't open from the outside, but still locks and opens from the inside perfectly. I think the handle has been replaced with a pattern part at some point.
I'd rather not put it on eBay, but thats where it will be going soon, Iam open to offers/swaps too.
