Hi all, Not Posted much for a while so here's a quick post on todays purchase... It's a 1990 Mitsubishi Pajero Mk1 2.5TD Intercooler. To say It's solid is an understatement... the sills are in the original paint... The Interior is clean with recorded 126,000km [Around 100,000miles?] It drives well and Benefits from a few little Manufacturers extras, like Tape Deck, Air Con, Bouncy seats!! ;D It has a small 2tonn winch fitted on the original bumper and a set of Recip Mud Tyres on weller wheels... Mod wise I'm looking for Ideas, I have just ordered a set of Japanese Rising Sun Decals and was thinking about Chrome Mirror Covers? Bit of Mister Bishi 4x4 for the J lovers among you...

It's a great little truck, the Adjustable seat is good fun ;D In my eyes it just needs a few little bits doing like the Rising sun Decals... Any Ideas?

Nice 4wd! Are you going to be off-roading it much? The tyres look good, but the first modification it needs are decent rated recovery points front and rear. Also make sure that the spare tyre is the same size as the other wheels so that you can use it! Buy an extra tyre and rim to match. Those would be my first steps.
The radio looks like an interesting bit of retro gear. Got a closer pic?

As Promised Some Better pictures! It's Polished up really nicely! As you can see It's Rock solid, The Sills [Inner and outer] are still in their original paint, as with the wheelarches, The Pictures do it no justice either! And Specially for you Waveman1500 Heres some Retro Stereo Gear! Sorry for the picture Quality. I'm thinking of Repositioning the Registration plate on the front, anyone else think it looks a bit daft? Cheers Ben

Stereo's way cool!Bet it gets very annoying when someone gets in and plays with all your settings! Front number plate offset left/right on front bumper I recon.

I have been Playing with the Tape deck all afternoon, I found up a Smiths/Michael Jackson Tape & Believe it or not It works as good as It looks! The Radio only has 70-90 FM though? Japanese Stations? I'm ok listening to Signal one for the meantime

Pal of mine here has the 4 door version of this. It's used purely as a jungle weapon (Simex, winch, body lift, the works) and, given that he assaults rocks and rivers like a D-Day beach, it takes some serious hammering. Always seems to get him home though. A good old tool
Mind, so does my stock Isuzu, but I'm a believer in letting the vehicle do its work.....gently!

It's too clean to properly offroad, Maybe some Green-lanes... Fair point, I felt the same way about my red one. The green one was an amazing tool that went everywhere. Either way, have fun.

Cheers mate... It's just a reliable work-horse, Though my back is hurting rather a lot today after a few 'bumpy' miles... I wish they would fix the roads better...

Yes, I those old Shoguns don't ride very well, with cart springs and a live axle on the back. The SWB versions are also quite bouncy. I got bored of mine rather quickly.
