On my latest trip to Hungary I made a some new friends. Thay also like me have a thing for Trabants. The lads like to rescue the old unloved smoke machines and do them up to sell on. But thay also like to go racing, and when thay asked if I would like to see one of there cars ;D.
The Trabi in the pics is still running the twostroke lump but now it puts out about 54 Bhp instead of the 26 Bhp it had when it left the factory. It sounds amazing and is unbelievably
Clean considering it has been raced for the last seven years.
The level of work that has gone in to the car is second to none, the man has some real talent. His knowledge on Trabants is impressive, and after a quick look at my Trabi was able
To inform me that it was one of the very last twostrokes to roll of the production line
As it had the hole in the boot for the rear full tank fited to the vw engined cars.
Any way I thought you might like some pics to look at.
