Stuck up in Nottingham overnight for work today I thought it would be the usual night of beer, grub and DVDs in a hotel room. Chatting with Rysz on FB revealed a nearby classic car meet at the Griffin Pub in Papplewick, sadly he was busy but armed with the Swedish Rocket (our company SAAB) I headed over, and I'm glad I did. First cars through the gate with this odd pairing of 1930s Packard and Metro 6R4  Cleanest 205 ever    Coolest entrance of the night so far  Track prepped Truimph   ;D |

I read the German badge on the front of this, studied the tax disc and hung around while the owner was talking, I am still none the wiser what microcar it is though!   Another off couple, Early Bay and Hawk  what no Flux!  Stinkiest VW?  Good air-cooled turnout  K series engine'd Sprite  ;D |

Badged as an Austin Super 7, it was part Austin and part Lotus 7 alike chassis  Just as I was leaving this insane road replica Maserati Tipo rolled in, it was bonkers   And that was it, brilliant turnout and it shows that no matter where in the country you are you can always find something to go to! Sadly I didn't see any RRers I recognised tonight  |

Got to love microcar names! A Kleinschnittger and a Messerschmitt at the same show and parked close enough to make it sound like you're having a sneezing fit if you're telling people what they are.
