So after some use the time to finally get rid of the old girl has arrived. After asking too much in autumn I've used her a bit on the drier days and was a welcome daily during the freak week of 20+ degrees earlier this year. Still looks ratty but still as sound as the proverbial monetary amount.
This is my lovely midget that I'm sad to have to get rid of. MOT until 14th Oct and Tax is the end of Aug (I think but Ill check in the morning) This is an early 1500 rubber bumper car that has been converted back to chrome bumpers.
It is in good shape both mechanically and bodily. I was told the engine was a Gold seal replacement but not sure there is any proof of this, although I do have some receipts. I can say though that the bores are incredibly clean with no wear or scoring. The engine and gearbox are both great and have no leaks. The car runs well and pulls very well, it seems to just want to keep on going! It has a straight through exhaust system that sounds fantastic but is a bit loud for some tastes!
The hood is in excellent condition and goes up and down well, a hood cover is included. All tyres have good tread. The rear suspension has been lowered back to the height of a pre-rubber bumpered car and most nuts/bolts have been replaced. The seats are from an MG F and there is a Safety devices roll-over hoop fitted.
Not a concours winner but solid and useable. And a bargain...(if I do say so myself...)
Please ask any questions and I'll get back as soon as possible.
Cheers
