Dear all
On my Datsun door, I can see rust starting at the bottom of the door.
What product should I use to treat it/kill it. Can I use a product without sanding it down(it's at the back so quality is not important)

Same as the underside mate. wire brush it get the loose curse word off, and ku rust, jenolite, whichever you want to get, brush it on, and if you can find a similar shade of smoothrite as your ride, bang that on after a few days

Sorry to say, but the chances are that it's coming through from the inside of the door, meaning that there's little metal left there. Kurust and Hammerite the outside all you like - it'll only get worse, especially if water's still getting into the door.
The only real solution in that situation is to cur the rot out and weld in some fresh steel.
It is possible that it's just surface rust from scrapes, but if it's coming up under paint then I suspect it's rot.

none of the brush on cures will stop it
needs cleaning back to good steel both sides and priming and painting ...not what you want to hear but its the truth
