Where does one purchase the parts to assemble ones own exhausting pipe chaps?
I'm weighing up the options for my old bus, she needs re-piping now, I'd rather not weigh out for stainless Jetex system which appears to be the only performance system for my 940.
On the other hand i'm not so keen on paying out good money for a stock set up either, without the ability to bend my own pipes I'm looking for a supplier who sells bends and boxes of various types.
Jetex do sell the bits I need but i'm looking for other options to price compare.
Cheers.

clampco are cheapest, but don't stock everything. no Y peices or over-axle bends for example. they have a good range of everything else though. i get those from jjc race and rally via ebay. same company as demontweeks I'm lead to believe, just cheaper?! boxes are massivley expensive new no matter where you get them from, but i don't see much if any reason to buy them new- i usually buy a second hand system or two (whatevers cheapest/nearest in ebay) and chop it up for those, plus you get a few bends thrown in for free, which is handly as they're a minimum of 15 quid each new. its all stainless after all, so its not like second hand stuff with be rotten or anything.

FWIW if you do end up going for the Jetex the build quality is very good (very tidy/good welds etc.): It did also fit quite well, and possibly feel a little more responsive (but the old exhaust was completely shot internally). For a number of people though it was on the quiet side, strange for a 306 GTi-6 where almost all aftermarket exhausts (and many pattern ones for that matter) are the exact opposite (albeit more of an annoying boom at 3krpm, around the speed you would cruise on a motorway!).

I bought my components via eBay ... looked at my spec ie bore for stainless t304 pipe and silencer etc in stainless. Measured the boxes WxLxH ...etc....A company called cybox fabricated my mid box ''stainless'' with stubs and supplied the T304 grade 1.5mm thick tube all for £74 ... a rear universal stainless box was £42 ''fastlane styling'' ... just make sure you have somebody to weld first, tig is neater. Stainless bends are cheap there too 45o or 90o etc ... as well as couplings etc ... much cheaper than OEM exhaust or companies like powerflow or long life who wanted £650-900
