Hi all. I'm buying a car that doesn't have its original back axle (RWD) so I'm guessing that the speedo will give a different reading than the actual road speed. The axle/diff etc are from a smaller engine. Is there any way of having it matched up somehow so it displays the correct speed?
Many thanks.

depending on if the speedo is cable driven or electric, the speedo drive gears can usually be swapped over for 1 with a different amount of teeth ;D at least in the fords you can anyway
