Hi RR.
I'm making a spreadsheet of all the work left to do on my Viva so that I can estimate a figure cost for completion. And see how viable it is for me to fund it without the use of a loan
I'm a bit stuck on what option to go for with the Weber carb. The engine's been given a full fast-road spec treatment so I need it to breathe well, but given it's a small engine I'm guessing a high air flow rate isn't needed. It will be used a lot on the road so I can't just have open trumpets and do need some filtering. It's a single 40DCOE. Maybe I'm looking into it too much considering the filters will be designed for use on a pair or triplet of DCOEs on a much bigger engine?
I have no experience of Webers or different filter manufacturers really so I'm looking for some first hand advice and feedback from people that have actually used them.
I'm looking at the Dellorto site so I can make one big order along with the jets etc I need for the carb. To me the Dellorto site seems better and easier to use than Webcon. But if anyone has any different options or knows where to save money without sacraficing quality, please say
According to the site, the options are. - www.dellorto.co.uk/merchandise/products.asp?CategoryID=16&PartsectionID=84
Full radius trumpets with gauze
Rampipes with Ramair socks
Dellorto's own pancake type filter (with Full Radius Trumpets?)
K&N type pancake (no FRTs)
ITG JC20 filter with FRTs
Pipercross PX300 filter with FRTs
Pipercross trumpet socks
Ramflo filter (no FRTs)
