Hi all - selling this on behalf of my little brother as he's just gone off to uni and doesn't need a car anymore
G reg 1989 Volkswagen polo (mk2)
1.0litre engine, 4 speed gearbox
approx. 60k miles from new (genuine)
10 Months MOT
4 Months road tax
Drives very very well, steering, engine and gearbox very tight and smooth, feels like a very new car (due to mileage).
Low insurance for new/young drivers.
Lowered a tad on proper -40mm springs, excellent cornering and roadholding.
2 almost new tyres, and 2 with plenty of tread depth.
Interior very clean, no rips or tears and no sagging in the bolsters.
Passed the MOT this summer needing next to nothing, and has done less than 300miles since.
Not so good:
My brother managed to 'bump' into a verge in the wet on a hill a few weeks ago, which has damaged the front N/S wing, front valance & grille/bumper (see photos). Car still drives perfectly.
The damage doesn't affect the passenger door gap, and the door still opens perfectly, also the inner wing is not bent at all. All the car needs to look A1 again is a new wing, valance and possibly the body-coloured front grille strip, the bumper is pushed back a tad, but will easily pop back straight once the new wing is fitted.
Before the bump...
