I've a pair of twin 40 dellorto's on a pinto manifold, it would come with misab plates, thackory washers, k&n filters, sytec linkage, twin throttle cables, pedal block, facset fuel pump, filter king regulator, syncrometer and a book all about twin carbs, the reason I'm thinking of selling is due to the fact that setting them up is way beyond my capabilities and I'm going to stick with a twin choke and save myself the heartache and fuel. So what do you guys think that lot is worth?

I just sold a set if twin webers complete with linkages filters etc. Went for £300. I have to say dellortos seem to go for less, but they are reputed to be better than webers !! Got to be worth min of £250 as complete, but try more ? Ive done the same, my twin choke works so well ive stuck with it.

I spoke to my mate and offered them to him for £280 and he took them so must have been the right price. I'm going with the twin choke due to the cost of the fuel nowadays and I want my car to be reliable, what I really want it a turn key classic that returns 30ish mpg

Yeah , i love the sound of forties but they don't really improve a great deal other than top end speed. At least a decent 32/36 will return some sort of economy. Although still hankering after a set of bike carbs to try out !!!

My long term plan is either r1 bike carbs or bike throttle bodies with mega squirt
