I think £3000 might be a bit hopeful (but you never know!). But given it's condition, mileage and rarity of the 1.3, I think with the recommissioning jobs done you could see £2000 fairly easily. I wish I had some spare dosh at the mo and I've have your arm off for it right now as it stands! Good luck and please post some pics of it all freshened up for me to drool over. ;-)

Easy £2K if it's not rotted away underneath. Looks like a great find!

Without an MOT - well, my instinct would be to say "without seeing it" - I'd chance the £600 it would seem said scruffy-but-MOT'd one is, and hope I got a bargain.
But even on seeing it, without an MOT, I'd be reluctant to crack a grand on it, whereas as everyone's run with above, you could get it up to spec (if it's as good as implied underneath) for minimum expense and get £2K with so little effort, it's like throwing away money not doing it.
If you're near Leicester get it down here, I'll sort it and go halves on the profit, if it doesn't need welding. I'd love doing up and selling a car like that.

Deal sorted with compass :-) I think you'll be amazed how clean it is, if the weather stays nice today it's getting a wash n polish I own my own garage (self employed) I havnt got the time to sort it working 12-15hr days as it is, and prefer it to go to someone who sees it for what it is (totally bog std nice clean classic car) and hopefully itll be going in another 32yrs and not someone who's going to spoil and abuse it, Cheers drew

Any chance of scanning that road test in high quality reso Compass? Would be good to have a read of what Autocar made of it. I wonder whether they thought the performance was in any way acceptable? It wasnt exactly a punchy lump in a HC Viva but the Chevette was Ok I believe
Cheers!
