Bought from this very forum recently. I don't really know what I want to do with this, so I've put it on a ten day auction to give me time to decide.
Mot end of May 2013
Tax end of October
Miles 140,000ish

Cut 'n' pasted from the eBay ad:
Right, I think I want to sell this. Bought with a few niggles which have now been rectified, as much as I've always fancied a B3 this is now for sale complete with valuable numberplate, which is surely the best plate for one of these cars.
Just clicked over 140k miles with stacks of service history an receipts. Looking through the bills it has had a clock change fairly recently so the true mileage is actually less than that. MoT is until the end of May 2013 and the tax runs until the end of October.
Extras:
B3 WGN plate, which must be worth a good few quid to the right person. The smart money would be on me to sell this separately, but I believe it deserves to stay with the car.
Swanky flip out DVD, satnav, Bluetooth, cd, radio system with remote control and lead to plug your iPod into. Works great and, again, must be worth a few quid. The speakers sound like they're upgraded and there is also a sub in the boot which sounds great (especially for films!).
Excellent alarm system with the later VW-type flippy out key and remote central locking. Works great.
Apparently rare as hen's teeth and, again, valuable VR6 rear lights.
Leather three-spoke wheel and Porsche push-button horn.
Adjustable coilovers. The car is set to a low but sensible ride height that doesn't bottom out or catch in speedbumps, and still gives a very nice ride for a big, low old bus.
Longlife stainless exhaust which is a lovely snug fit, very quiet in normal use but gives a nice burble.
I would describe the exterior condition as being good overall. The bumpers have faded as you can see from the photos and the worst scratch is in the driver's side passenger door, but this isn't pushed in and dented and is not very noticeable unless the car is clean! There are a few little bubbles on the bottom half of the inside of the rear arches, but certainly not rotten. The front panel and bonnet have been painted matt black. Folk seem to think this looks cool.
Inside is in good condition and a fetching shade of blue. It has keep fit windows, electric sunroof, stacks of room and that's about all there is to it. Oh, HID lights are fitted due to the standard bulbs being dimmer than a dim thing.
Since changing the thermostat I've been getting in excess of 40mpg and I tend not to travel very slowly, which is great for a 2-litre estate car. These things are built like tanks and I've travelled up and down the country in it in fantastic comfort. The previous owner advised me that it seemed to chuff a bit of oil, but I've monitored this over the last 1500 miles and have to say it's not something I've noticed - I certainly haven't had to top it up. Valve stem oil seals seem to be the problem with these engines, but I've had cars go on like that for years in the past. It drives in a straight line, doesn't wobble or shake and, thanks to grooved discs at the front, it stops very well and in a straight line.
It's by no means a mint car and is 20 years old, but it's a very useable retro wagon that turns plenty of heads and generally seems no be thought of as being pretty cool. It's just not for me in afraid. Offers of part-exchanges would be considered through eBay rules. WHY?
If it doesn't sell, I get thousands if stupid questions or the winning bidder messes me around then I'll just strip the goodies off it, sell them separately and then the standard car. It comes with a few spares such as standard rear lights, bulbs etc.
Viewing is welcomed and encouraged, as is a test drive. It's worth mentioning that I'm down south this weekend and do travel a lot, so you may be able to meet me en route somewhere.
