For the fifth year running, Classic & Sportscar magazine held their little show on the green in Thatcham. Its free to get in and theres normally a couple of hundred assorted classic and sportscars on show. As its not far and there was fuel in both tanks we took the Camper and the Beetle along. Its a bit of a free for all so theres not too many line ups of the same marque which is nice. It does mean you get unusual neighbours. On our right was a nice Morgan and on the left this. Apologies for the glare, I'm getting use to my new 550D. But I had to show this gleaming MG Montego. Bit of modern tucked away in the form of a Nobel and Ultima TR6 on steels, nice to have a change to the usual wire wheels Camo'd Fox Impossibly clean Peugeot 604 is a regular at the show MiniSWMBO got an I Spy Classic Cars book for her birthday, we managed 580 points by the end of the day! ;D

West Berkshire appears to be breeding Grinnall V8s, there was a green one here the other year. Stately Jaguar Another odd pairing of Mk2 Escort and TVR There was an odd chap bumbling round on this all morning Two tone Zepher wagon looking very practical Lotus X1 came screaming past as I was heading into town for a coffee One of a trio of Scimitars My car of the show, a 1950s(ish) Bond Minicar Deluxe tourer. 197 massive CCs of two stroke wonderment The polar opposite to a slammed ride. Country Transit Either of these two Mustangs could have joined the Bond in a two car garage for me! The rest of the pictures before it started hailing down are here

Thanks for sharing the pics, some funky stuff in there. I'm pretty impressed by the bike in that Fox photo, whoever built that seems to have a GSXR motor in a hardtail frame Must be a bit of a scary beast to ride, specially with that skinny back tyre!

I saw the rider as he left. Lets just say there was plenty of weight over the back wheel to aid traction!

That impossibly clean 604 belongs to a mate of my Dad's, he's the registrar of the 604 club. Met him when he came to collect my Dad's Thema on behalf of a friend of his, ended up part-exing our Royale coupe for his Bitter SC a few months later.

Apologies for the glare, I'm getting use to my new 550D. I still haven't got used to my 500D in that respect...I adjusted some of the settings to compensate but haven't had a bright enough day (at a car show) to see if it's cured it. I'm convinced that Canon have deliberately screwed with the sensor settings to make it take pictures that reflect it's place in the Canon DSLR line-up.

Great pics Steve and glad to hear you've now got (treated yourself?) a 550D. Great cameras. The polar opposite to a slammed ride. Country Transit This would be my 'car' to take home....always really liked them. Especially the Mk2's like this although they are pretty rare. Far more so than the already rare Mk3. BTW: you can tell you're a VW guy at heart...the Transits are 'County' not 'Country' like the Golf.

Great pics Steve and glad to hear you've now got (treated yourself?) a 550D. Great cameras. Necessity rather than treat! My 400D decided after 100000+ shutter operations that it no longer wanted to take pictures all the time. Not bad when Canon rate it for 40-50000 operations. I know what you mean Simon. But coming from a 400D its a massive step up in quality. It was bought on the friday and the first photo taken 10am saturday. I've got time to play with it now
