So I have one of these sat at my parents place and they need it gone to get my dads standard in the garage, it is a massive lump of old engineering. The machine itself looks like this
But its mounted on a large cast base (no table) that looks similar to this
but a quarter of the size!
Looking around on the interweb it looks like its a 17 600 but I will have to check when I go over later. It has a huge height range ( I once used it to open up the bolt holes to 14mm in a set of 8 inch merc wheels which fitted with plenty of height to spare) there is lockable height adjustment and everything that could wear is adjustable (made to last!!). Its just below waist height on me and ridiculously heavy (i can just about manage to pick up the base!) but the 2 parts separate to make it slightly easier! Its is 230v single phase converted but has no switch to power it up, I had it on a heavy duty router table which had a plug mounted at the front so I could turn it off easily. The chuck has a taper fitting.
Any ideas on what it is worth and is anyone interested? Bear in mind it will need some TLC and a switch to make it usable.
i'll get some pictures sorted later on today.
