Well having a bit of a sell up to get something different so this is up for sale along with my 330d bmw and some other parts.
I love this car to bits and shouldnt really be selling it but I am determined to get to more drift and track days next year so I am selling up and buying something already built most likely that I can just jump in and drive. I have spent this whole year building and not driving!
MOT - March 2013
Tax - March 2013
Mileage - 140k not like it matters with something like this! It has been well serviced and not long had a cambelt replacement. These engines are super super bullet proof.
Engine
- 3.0 V6 which makes lots of torque and about 160bhp from the factory. It feels like a lot more and will easily pull third!
- Well serviced and maintained
- Massive 52mm skyline r32 radiator with twin 12" fans on revotec controller in the top hose, stays lovely and cool when being used hard
- Fuel pressure upped, cone filter, under axle exhaust for extra flow over restrictive over axle
- These are known to be super bullet proof and will take a turbo for lots of power easily. Check out the "z31performance" forum. The ECU can take a Nistune type 1 board.
- Most importantly it sounds epic, its not your usual v6 tone it is a very very deep sound more like somewhere between a v6 and a v8 it suits the sound of the car down to the ground.
- Walbro fuel pump
Drivetrain
Now this is where the magic has happened and makes it very very different and likely unique compared to other 300c's
- Manual Gearbox conversion using a z31 manual gearbox, s14 clutch pedal and master cylinder, braided clutch line it all looks very factory and you wouldnt know it didnt come out of the factory like it.
- Exedy 3 piece organic clutch kit fitted about 500 miles ago with receipt etc
- Welded diff
- S13 Tein Rear Coilovers
Lots of work on the front end including
- S14 lower arms extened 25mm, driftworks polybushes and brand new balljoints 200 miles ago
- S14 hubs which have been modified for extra lock, this thing has LOTS of lock and feels awesome to skid
- 30mm Bolt on hubcentre superforma spacers to clear brakes
- S14 4 pot brakes
- S14 Apex Gen 2 coilovers with camber adjustable top mounts
- Full alignment setup
Interior
- Super plush velour seats it is super comfortable
- Baller wood trim and padded doorcards everywhere more like a bentley than a nissan
- Brand new wood rim nardi deep corn bought from driftworks with HKB Boss to keep self canceling indicators, horn etc
- All in fantastic condition but gear gaiter could do with replacing everything else is great
- Electric windows, lots of bings bongs and cool 80s gadgets
- Super light power steering but with good feedback
- Inphase headunit with ipod and memory stick connectivity, Fli rear speakers under original covers so cannot be seen
Exterior
- Very solid car absolutely no rot and I have checked. I had to put a tiny patch inside the passenger wheel arch when I bought it and thats it. Its a little known fact the 300c Saloons were infact built in germany and galvanized
- Mitsubishi starion widebody wheels which fit the arches fantasticly and suit the car perfect. 195/50/16 on the front and 195/45/16 on the rear all 4 have good tread. Dunlops on the front federal on the rear
- Few little dings that you can surely expect from a car of this age(and size!!) but fantastic in gangster black. Some of the chrome is looking a little tired
- fully wired in twin electric tow bar.
- Slightly flared rear arches to fit wheels and rolled front arches
The only negative point of the car is that the gearbox is noisy but its been like this ages and never got any worse. You can only hear it at idle outside of the car. When driving you cant hear it and gives no trouble when drifting. However it is VERY VERY easily replaced as it is a CA18DET gearbox on a VG30 bellhousing so literally just bolt the front half of this box onto a cheapy s13 box and thats fixed. The speedo can also be a bit random but I think its just the connection behind the clocks, who cares when you look this cool??
I think that pretty much covers everything. It looks amazing, its huge, it drifts really well its comfortable even this low and on coilovers. Its easy to get wheels for (5x114.3). Its got lots of tax and test and most of all its DIFFERENT!
A car this unique with so many cool bits on it has got to be worth the asking price of £2250ono May consider a PX/swa[ with a well prepped drifter but would prefer a cash sale so I can look about.
The car is located in March - Cambridgeshire. You can reach me on 07540765075 but only text messages during the day time as I am working. Calls in the evening are fine!
