There was a possible sighting of this in the East Grinstead area yesterday. If anyone's in the area, keep an eye out for it.

What's the betting its already being prepped for a banger track? Too true... It's so sad to think that these people drive around all day 'casing the joint' in order to nick someones pride and joy at the most convenient moment...!!! I'd be inclined to say we all need to be super safe when it comes to keeping our cars safe (obviously!) but in this day and age that can cost so much money it doesn't always happen that way... My Granada is as safe as it can be but I'm sure if someone wanted it it'd be gone at the right moment... Anyhow, we should be able to leave our cars wherever we choose (within reason of course!!!) and then be able to return to them at our leisure... It seems that is not always the case nowadays... Anyhow, back on topic... Let's get this Granada found...!!!

Tbh, it doesn't cost that much to have an Immobiliser installed these days. Might not stop them if they are determined, but they'll probably move on to an easier target. Stick on an alarm with microwave and tilt sensors and they'll definitely leave it alone.

ALOT of racers love classics and run them on the road, ive got 3, and had one pinched a few years ago. curse word happens, if you cant deal with the risk of owning an old car, and wont spend the money on an alarm/immobiliser, go and buy a 10 plate corsa. anyway good luck with finding the car, i know myself how curse word it is to loose a car.

I can only personally vouch for how helpful the banger lot have been to me in the search for elusive parts I need, they really do all they can and they're the people who seem to have the parts for one reason or another... They were also one of the biggest supporters of my Ace Cafe Granada meet, they had some glorious examples of the marque (All being preserved I hope ) It is true that 99.9% of banger racers are good honest sorts who buy their cars to race., it's the hobby that they adore... However, it is a fact that a small majority of them are not so honest and take what is not theirs to take so this car could have been stolen for the purposes of banger racing. On the flip side though it could have been stolen to weigh in, to break for parts or to be sent to some far flung corner of the world for some ultra rich oil baron we just don't know... All we do know is is that it has been stolen, somebody's property has just been nabbed and that's just not on... I just hope that all the people that can sniff this car out do so it can be returned to the owner, the owner can smile again and, hopefully, this car can be returned to the road where it belongs...

big shame to see, agree about the banger drivers, I love bangers and always hate seeing good cars on the track, but most of them are decent people , I would be surprised to see this on the track on all the effort to steal it, I hope it turns up

I just found out that there is a big 'All Granadas' banger meet in Essex during October so there could be a connection there...
Please don't get me wrong, I'm not accusing anyone of anything I just thought I'd mention it...
I do hope that the Police are being helpful and hard working in trying to find this car as it's not just down to us fans of old motors to do the leg work...!

Just seen this, such a shame, brings back memories of when my red mk2 granada got stolen from reigate. My instant theroy as to why it went was sort of backed up when I spoke to a neighbour. If it was correct then it wasnt anyone local, but at the time there had been a spate of rwd fords going missing in the area so anyones guess is as good as anyone elses.
