Been meaning to get some pics of these for ages. Not far from my house on a farm. Some of you will recognise the place as i think some of the guys from round this way (spacekadett??) have saved cars from this perticular farm before! This is just from one barn but i know there is more stuff in some others ditted around the orchards round here. The owner used to race minis and spacekadett now has one of his old race cars. Beemer 1 and a 323 mazda both used to have chav box exhausts which have dissapeared 635 CSi looking a bit worse for wear now. a 2500 its my favorite! well solid looking Stock car mini 100a! arches look a little shonkey Nice looking moggie, very orignal Wheels Flat 4 (probably from a old type 3 or 4 that used to live there, it dissapeared a few years ago) Round the back (wtf?) mini pickup lurking in a near by shed! couldent get a proper pic

Slater, Is that Triumph Estate a Mk 1 or Mk2? I can't tell form those shots - don't know if anyone else can? If its a2.5 Mk1 then it'd be worth even more than the one Spotted Laurel recently found (and I still haven't called up about ) That Minor isn't that original as its wearing Marina wheels, maybe hiding disc brakes?

Nice shots! Interesting bits scattered around there ;D Tis hard to see that 2500 estate like you say! Have to say though....That looks to be a Mk.2 The badge looks the right length as well.... All the Mk.1s should have had clear rear panels, like this:

Rangie's been semi-bobtailed into an ersatz pick-up. Bobtailing's usually done to get rid of the rear overhang so that they can climb steeper slopes without the ass-end digging in, but occasionally you come across pick-up conversions that utilise the same technique.
As the later P38-shape Range Rover gets cheaper, so they've started to become candidates for the treatment as well, there have only so far been a couple of them done to my knowledge.

is that 325i the one in need of some serious A post rust repair? he came and tried to cut a section out of a scrapper at ours last year. there used to be 3 six series', spacekadett was talking of amalgamating them into one. IIRC one had a scary funnel shaped spiderweb inbetween the seats theres a hot moggy pickup lurking somewhere round there. the 100a is lovely, I've never seen it before, but heard about it numerous times nice tat spottings!

You're right, the racer was moved next to the pick up when the other shed roof started to cave in! Anyway, a few more details... The Minor features a lightly tuned 1275, Toyota 5spd and Marina discs and axle. got parked up 'cos it ate clutches I think. The pick up is one of 3 dotted about and despite years of hounding by my dad / me they won't sell them !! That 1 has been threatened with a rebuild with the engine out the stock car tho. The Mazda is a 4wd turbo, possibly with a different turbo, not sure if it works. Couldn't get him to sell the Triumph either (think it needs a tank), I could really see it slammed with STP or Gulf graphics I know he'd like to see the 100A saved and other than the arches it don't look that bad. The Bimmers and Range Rovers tend to get collected as drivers / breakers and just left there. I'm sure he'll get round to all of them one day.....

Yeh i remeber you saying about the trumph and the pickups (does he still drive that white one you think?)
I'm surprised about the minor to say the least! allways assumed it was a stocker, you think he would sell that? ;D oh and get a price for the 100a if you get a chance. Id even buy it and sell it on just so it gets saved tbh!
Is it Hugh Weldon who owns them?

If anyone does save the 100A let the Datsun owners club know, I believe there is a decent donor car up for next to nothing. Most bits asides from chrome are fairly easy to find. I think hadrian still sell rear arches for these beasties too.

I've got some 100a panels left I think. Might have sills and a pair of rear arches. Maybe even some new doors. If anyone on here wants to save that 100a they are welcome to whatever bits I have lying about for it.

Spacekadett has saved tons of stuff from there! Our Dad's worked there since he was 15, so about 41 years now! Did I mention there used to be 2 mk2 escorts, one red rs2000 which was hella rusty and one white one with a pinto. They didnt stay there long tho The engine out of the red RS2000 is the one which is now in Spacekadett's 100E! The white car was supposed to be coming home with me in 2002 but someone else paid what it was actually worth, so I didn't get it.... It's since been featured in Classic Ford. The Triumph's a 2500 injection, I'll try to find my close-up pics from when it was cleaner. Sadly it's definitely not for sale - I have tried!

do you know if spacekdett still has the mini? Oh yes I still have it! ;D I must confess to having only really collected stuff and not fit it until recently However after alot of faffing about it does now have a 'stop gap' engine (ported MG A+ wi std remote shift box) and a period 3 point roll bar being made soon. Promise to post pics when I dig the camera out! The engine is only until I can finance putting together some of the bits I bought from over xmas .....
