hmm, wonder if you can give me any hints actually... I have this : which is an 1895 Singer 27K, as far as I know its all working, but when I try and use it I just end up tangling thread, I suspect I'm not setting all the tensions and stuff correctly, do you know any good resources to try and find out how to do it or have any advice?

dude i need red seat belts for my viva, I'm guessing I supply you with the belt assembly and you replace the tired old worn webbing with shiny spanking new stuff yeah? Pm me prices for a full set (i have to find inertia ones that will fit the rear first but when i do you have yourself a job i should think)

Take the top tension disks off, and rub them on a flat piece of emery tape, so that they're not smooth, bottom tension should be quite loose, take out the bobbin and case, the bobbin should fall away slowly when you hold onto the thread, if it doesn't move, then slacken it a bit, if it falls to quickly then tighten a little. If the stitch is loose on top when you sow, then the bobbin is too loose, if the stitch is loose underneath, then tighten the top tension.

At some point in the future I might be knocking on your door with a request to re-trim the door cards and rear side panels (not hugely complex) of my Scimitar SE5. Do you have any ball park figures for this kind of work or should I PM you nearer the time?

You send me the originals. I then use my supplier to professionally rewebbed to the required standards. I then send them back to you.
They're exactly the same as what's fitted so safety is not compromised.
Send a PM with your exact requirements as I can Supply Old 'pebble weave' belts and newer smooth style colours do vary in each of the two types.

You don't show white in your seat belt colours pic, but can you offer white seat belts?
Cheers

Your not the first person to ask that. The closest I offer is a light silver. I can try and source a white and see what I can find.
Pm me your requirements, Vehicle details etc and I'll see what I can do for you.

how do you stand legal wise when running modified seatbelt assemblies?

They're done by a regulated supplier I use.
I would not compromise anyone's safety so it's not something I do myself.

Nice work there, my brother started vehicle interior trimming following on from my mum who used to work for Lotus, she did one off shows cars for them and Lotus Caltons in a chicken shed!, takes a long time to get established but he now does higher end stuff like XK Jags astons and Vintage cars where the money is better and his waiting list is nearly one year because there a so few new people taking it up. You've just got to get known on stites like this and piston heads etc becuase now nearly of my brothers work come from work of mouth and recomendations.

Spent yesterday trimming this install for a friends audio business. Tricky panels to say the least. Ill update as soon as the install is complete. Combination of air and audio.
