Here's my sleeper Mk2 Orion: the travelling saleman's express. Well, here's one very poor photo of it the other night, I shall take some more as I work on it over the weekend. So, er, apologies.
I've said it's a sleeper due to the nicely worked RS Turbo engine it's running, which should be good for 200bhp. I say 'should be', as it's currently so fast asleep it's comatose. D'oh. This is hopefully only due to a series of annoying, niggly gremlins that should be remedied cheaply and over the next few days.
Spec is a 1600 CVH, hybrid turbo, FMIC, chip, cam etc etc. Sapphire Cosworth Recaros inside, period Momo leather wheel, adjustable shocks and lowering springs, typically lairy 90s Ford exhaust which I have plans to modify and hide; the usual jazz.
It's been resprayed last summer so does look good and shiny, and seems to be a strong, reasonably solid example of one of these. It will be my daily once running properly, so really want it out and about ASAP.
Still, a few styling changes to the outside and we should be there.
