So i was trying to fit a cassette player to my Escort today (base model only one speaker center dash) and i'm a bit confused on how to wire the speaker to the new cassette player.
my main questions is... the speaker seems to have two wires joined together in this plug
If i cut off the plug and separated the wires, would i attach one of the wires to the common ground and one to the left speaker? (top of the "new" cassette stereo) just asking to be safe... don't want to damage anything on the car if i can help it!
Also i'm trying to not cut any of the wiring if i can, so if anyone knows what connectors i can buy so i can just plug into the car wiring, that would be great... guess i'll have to cut off that speaker plug though.
These are the conectors. They are the kind that slide over just a metal bit on hte back of the stereo. can you buy male conector for these so i don't have to cut them off?
