looking to acquire some tyres... 17" jobs. I'm aware some sizes are going to be cheaper than others. Not sure what the common (and thus CHEAP) sizes are in this diameter.
I was looking at maybe a 255/70x17 but these seem to be like £140 a corner cheapest based on a quick scan of usual suspects online. What sizes are there in a similar looking size on this diameter might be cheap. I was actually thinking of maybe even buying decent ones for a change....

What car are they for? 255/70 seems a hell of a lot of sidewall.

Tall 17s are a pain in the as BMW's etc don't run em. I reckon you'd be better off going for 18s then you've got a choice of Landy (modern), X5 etc tall tyres.

18" tyres will leave a bit of a gap round the rim though...
I'm moderately into the idea of 255/45 but mostly due to price...

Road car. 265/65 could be a serious win at that price :-)

Have you bought yourself a 4x4 Al? Surely your LeSabre does not have wheels *that* big?

I simultaneously love and hate these cryptic Akku threads where he dangles just enough information to draw attention but doesn't give any clues as to what he's up to.

So you guys don't go to readers rides often do you? Hint - and ;D I'll save my comments until I see them on the car, but low enough I think it'll actually look better with a bit of sidewall, as i'm sure they wont be anywhere near "hellaflush" ;D You might also get steering problems with tyres that size on the front, presuming i'm right about your intentions that is
