top end engine noise problem solved? new vid.

hi,
had my 2.8 cologne running and from the start theres been a terrible noise from top area, oil and filter changed, not water pump or alternator, seems to be a very mechanical grinding sound from top end, not a tapping or banging noise. will try to get a video up of noise, but anyone got any ideas? beggining to think I need to look for another engine as this was bought very cheaply unknown condition. (not an open cheque build either!!!)

any pointers or help please.

been told it could of spun the cam bearings.

That diagnosis sounds like it could be correct, if it is you will need new bearing shells and probably a grind on the bearing surfaces of the cam or another cam depending on the level of wear.

i know the tappets need setting, but sounds a lot lot better.
