So I sold the T4 and wanted a new project so i picked this up plan was to lower it with some wheels and a good clean Picked up some RH ZW1's which needed a a refurb So I split them and got the centres painted (there not black, colour is mercedes Blue/grey) endless hours polishing bolts Got the lowering stick out and fitted the bmw e36 coilover and mercedes lowering springs Wheels rebuilt and its first drive was to milton keynes to the stanceworks meet And little photo shoot with my mate simmy doing some light boxing a few more jobs needed such as sound system, exhaust and fuel pump hope you like it

That looks great! Amazing what a nice set of wheels and a bit of lowering can do to a car

Stunning merc. You say that you used e36 coil overs to lower it. What was Involved in fitting.do they go straight on or are mods required Thanks

I'm also interested in knowing about the coilovers as ive got a 190 with the same suspension setup as a w124. do they bolt straight in or need mods to anything?

190 is different from what I've been told, no mods just remove the springs from the coilovers and use it as a strut, but I'm going to have more of a play with them soon.
Cheers slacker

Because they don't go low enough and I've never seen a w124 sat nice on lowering springs on struts, once I've tinkered again with this set up I will be able to adjust the ride height as and when.
Coilovers for w124's are about £1500 imported

So your using e36 coilovers without springs, and then chopped the standard w124 springs?? Spill the beans.

Ok my set up at the moment
Front
E36 coilover struts with all the springs removed
Mercedes lowering springs with 2 coils cut off
Plans for the front is to remove another half coil and refit the bmw spring (no helper) this to allow adjustment and get the car sitting perfect.
Rears are mercedes lowering springs with 1 coils removed but still has the standard struts in place
Plans for the rear are to remove another half coil and put the adjuster in the rear and to fit Saab 900 rear struts if it needs it.
What beans would you like me to spill
