I want to no the od of the rear coilover shock for polo 6n or mk1-2-3 golf any of them will be fine as I'm goin to be converting my rear suspension into all in one coilvers insted of seperate shocks and springs which it is at the moment, I'm goin to be modifing the rear turrets so I can use all in one setup so length isit a big issue but 6n polo ones are perfered as there alot shorter!!
If anyone could help me out that would be great

Is it the OD of the whole lot assembled with springs? or just the shock it's self that you're after? Very roughly speaking, the whole lot will be ~90mm OD, and the shock it's self will be ~55mm OD. As the spring's a standard 2.5"ID spring, and the threaded section's the normal diameter to fit ~50mm struts.
Also it may be handy to know that Mk1 Golf rears are the same as the Polo ones, and are often left spare when people use the fronts on Caddys.

Yeah, mk2/3 golf rears are really really long.
