we've got an iveco derv tank that may well be suitable, it's plastic and fairly retangular, so should be easy to mount, wherever we choose
sorry to hear about that phil, maybe fuel tank location might be the one sensible part of the build...

I reckon a behind the seat type affair would be ideal, off an old merc or summat. The boots gotta be big enough still for many many many beers...

Mini fuel tank? Small... easy to fit and running a derv its only gonna use the fuel outa the filler neck anyway...

[student] Ah ive got it! put a suitably sized tank full of beer up front in the gap between radiator and engine, possibly even plumb up said tank to a second radiator with a pump to circulate the beer aroun and keep it cold [/student] ewww warm beer. Oh wait you say fit a cooler for the beer ;D What about using something like a spitfire fuel tank that sits right behind the seats normally is pretty rectangular so should be easy to fit.

we have a few tank options fellas it's not so much 'what can we use' - it' a case of having the worlds biggest engine bay, and the iveco filling less than half of it LOL - think we'll have to look further into the beer cooler / still options

Hmmm... how about two Iveco engines? Just to fill the space up a bit more...

Hmmm... how about two Iveco engines? Just to fill the space up a bit more... What about 1 engine and a humungous turbo! Hang on what about a wood gas plant in the space for even cheaper running?

Be a bit pointless on a derv lol, you'd have to have a gearbox in there to get the rotor rpm up.
Beer storage might be an option, i've got some kiln lining that I could do a firewall with, then just have some mounts to put those 12v cool boxes under there.
