Hi all, My Mother is Restoring a T2 Camper and had all the windows out to spray it. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who could lend advice or a hand on getting the Windscreen in? She has already smashed one window beating them in with A mallet. Cheers in advance! Ben

Normal way is to put a cord around windscreen rubber, put screen in place then from inside car pull cord while someone else pushes down on screen. It should then pop in place

i'd pay a fitter to replace the windscreen tbh, they're bastards and even worse with new rubbers.

She has already smashed one window beating them in with A mallet. Sorry, but this had me in stitches! No advice to offer, but wish your mother good luck for me!

Have tried 'The String Method' It's in for the most part but the bottom lip looks miles off. Wondering if anyone has ever put a windscreen back in a T2 Camper before? I.E top or bottom in first? Cheers

I did one a few months ago, bottom end first with a new rubber from Anal Schofields. TBH it went in fairly easily. Use some 3mm ish wire to pull it in, washing up liquid all over the place to lube things up and a mate pushing on the outside.

done a few, with all sorts of string and all lubes, not one went in easily, although the worst has gonna be T25 panel van conversions with new seals.
