plan was to satin white it all over with a black bonnet - methinks ive been watching too much initial D but i painted the one wing white and it got VERY grubby within a week so I'm put off that idea now so i went out today - made a bit of a mess with the paint, ended up painting it white, then black, then back to blue again ;D ;D ;D I'm thinking - black bonnet and boot - blue front and rear panel and LOTS of checks - check stripe down the side, and check stripe down the bonnet. a bit lost for inspiration at the moment, wondered what RR could think of? YEW DECYID!!!!

also - what do we think about the idea of some serious rake? bring the back end up off the 3" lowering blocks so the back is standard? what will this do to my handling?

erm - its in gulf colours ....
i think it looks good as it is mate, but i'd lose the roofrack. i think a race inspired paintjob and a roofrack is a contradiction.
i love the white ideal, ive thought about that loads for my skoda .... it never occured to me how dirty it would get though, and you use your wagon everyday don't you? you could just clean in more ;D initial D rocks!

I'm liking the ratty look - I'd be getting some sandpaper on the stickers and adding some 'age' to the look. The more the orange/blue scheme looks like it was done years ago the better.

Oxide red with checks? [off subject slightly] Intresting facts about the location of the photo. 1. I used to drink in the pub just down from there a few years ago 2. I live about 5 min's from there 3. My minilite landed in the grave-yard when it came off my Clubman on the M6. Oh how fun it was running round a cematery in the dark looking for a wheel [/off subject slightly]

I think the colours at the minute are super...agree with "adjusting" the stickers and leaving as is......its hard to make a mkII standout i think but this is the first one i've seen in a long time that made me look twice (actually a lot more than twice!). Legendary stuff

right, i've spent the last 4 hours on tato-chop with a pic of your car, givin her rake, lowering her, changing the colour, doing different panels different colours, rattin her, givin her rust, strippin the paint, smartening her up, everything, and non looks as good as she does now. so in my humble opinion, leave her be.
