Additional Information:
OK, I bought this recently and the plan was to run it around for a few days to make sure it wasn't about to chuck its toys out of the pram and then induct it into the fleet as a waft-o-matic barge - once the Stagea goes, which should be happening imminently, I wouldn't have a roadworthy auto in the fleet otherwise.
Unfortunately, the impending loss of my storage facility means that it now has to go. I have indeed run it around for a few days and it hasn't made any worrying noises or started guzzling / spewing out its vital fluids, which is good. Oil is nice and clean and the temp gauge is rock steady at just under half.
It's a 2.5 V6 auto Classic - I'm not sure where the Classic comes in the range but it must be somewhere near the bottom as it has velour seats and keep fit rear windows. The interior is still a nice place to sit though, and pretty clean for its age, although it's been fitted with a slightly tacky aftermarket CD player which doesn't do it any favours.
It's a bit different to drive than the 2.0 manual I owned before - the 2.5 has a fair bit more low-down grunt which, coupled with the 5-speed auto 'box, makes it even more relaxing to drive. It also really does go quite hard when you floor it.
The bodywork is generally fairly good - unfortunately some little twerp has put a key scratch across the boot lid and a smaller scratch on the nsr wing, but other than that it's tidy enough, albeit not immaculate.
Only faults I've found so far are the nsf tyre is very borderline (I have a part-worn Goodyear on order and this will be fitted before sale), the aircon compressor is noisy when the a/c is switched on, and there's a slight drip of oil from somewhere (presumably a rocker cover gasket, but I haven't taken the plastic cover off to investigate) onto the exhaust, so you get the occasional whiff of hot oil when coming to a stop - it is only slight though, and the oil level on the dipstick hasn't budged. Oh , and the airbag light stays on.
It's tested until February next year and taxed until the end of this month; mileage is just over 100K. Here's some pictures:
Edit: Price reduced to £375 as the front passenger door has decided that it doesn't want to unlock, and I don't have time to attempt to fix it.
