Honest advice req 1978 Toyota Celica ST RA40

Hi there,

I own my nans 1978 Toyota Celica st ra40 and wondering how much it's worth. I'm the registered keeper but she bought it off the show room floor and it now has FSH including all the tax discs and other original documents. Interior is immaculate with the back seats hardly ever been used. Got loads of pics if people are interested in buying but could really do with help with the value first.
Any helps appreciated guys

Cheers Panda, I had someone offer me £5-600 but know it's worth a lot more than that!
Just not sure what sort of ball park I should be aiming for. Any more help is greatly received.

Is it on the road? i.e MOT'd? If so I'd take plenty of good photo's, do a good write up & chuck it on eBay. There will be a queue offering you sub 1k for it, it's worth as much as someone is willing to pay (as the old saying goes), £5-600 is a p*ss take imo.......There's always a chancer isn't there. Stick it on eBay and let the viewing public decide it's value, it's certainly not something that come's up for sale every month so I reckon a genuine buyer would pay a good price for it.

Cheers mate. It's SORN at the mo but wouldn't take a lot to make it road worthy. That's why I don't wana get rid of it cheap really. That an the sentimental value and I've never seen one on the road before!!

You need to pull the car out of the garage, mot it*, wash and polish it to get that paintwork looking as good as it can. Then clean the interior and dash, after all that take pictures of everything - body, wheels, engine, interior, dash, any bits of rust, and also think about videos of it running. Then put it up on ebay with a detailed description for £1 but have a reserve of about £2000.

*You will need that mot if you want a good price, as it shows to the buyer that its ready for the road and doesn't need a trailer to take it home

I think £2500-£3000 would be more around the mark myself, maybe even £3500 to the right buyer.

Yes I would say £2000 to £3500 depending on what the cars like, but then again it's only worth what someone will turn up and pay with no time wasting

Cheers for all you help folks. Don't wanna get rid of it but I know I'm never gonna drive it again and don't have the money to run 2 cars at once.
