Is there a way to find out if a carb power valve is faulty? I'm talkin about a Weber DGV item 14 on following exploded view: www.carburetion.com/diags/3236DGVDiaginfo.aspAlso, any pointers to a good carb spares shop? Google didnt help, and italian sites have either nothin in stock or do not reply to email. As much as i hate having to buy italian parts abroad i might just have to. thanks.

Pump the throttle and see if there is a squirt of fuel in the 1st choke ? or just take the 4 screws out and check the diaphram ? www.webcon.co.uk/

In my experience the accelerator pump diphragm is the part which gives trouble on these carbs (part # 36 on the diagram in the link you gave)
The symptoms of a split in the accelerator pump diaphragm are the engine idles OK but dies when you give it the boot.

Accelerator pump diaphragm is ok, i chaged it not long ago. The dia. on the power valve has a couple minor holes on the rubber revealin a texture, it still pumps, but... and since i read on some article that a faulty one might seem like a vacuum leak i wondered if it might really be my problem (from my other help thread)
One of the italian supliers replied btw, its only a few euros so i'll try anyway.
