I have recently lowered my Fiat 127,a drop off 40mm.Its still on the same front shocks but i think they're getting towards the end of their life as the front is quite bouncy. Was going to look in to some uprated shocks but not sure where to look as I don't want to spend a fortune.Another issue is when the cars jacked up from the front and the wheels are off the ground they the shock and spring come a little loose, would this cause a problem mot time?
Thanks in advance of any advice.

Been looking on the bay, have read that mk2 Golf shocks will fit, will keep looking. The trouble I have at the moment is the new springs are obviously so much shorter and because there's so much travel on the insert of the old shock that when the cars raised the whole assembly drops a little.Guessing I need a shock with a shorter insert?

yes shorter inserts will sort the problem , get measurements from as many different car inserts til you find your best option,.
