Has anyone done it? I'd love to get mine lower but coilovers are £700 and the car is worth about that but E39 ones are £200.
Some one mentioned it on here and I've googled it but only found the usual you'll kill nuns carrying kittens type answers
Thanks
Adam

I've planned to do the same. The main difference (apart from the obvious spring and dampers rates etc) is that the front ARB attaches to the damper body on the e38. If you're just after maximum lows on a beater you can run without the arb, but I'm planning to make a pipe that slides on top of the damper body with an arb mount and is keeped in place by another nut on the threaded part. Another solutions is to get coilovers with removable inserts and weld the ear to the body. You can obviously try this on the non-removable-insert type too if you're feeling fearless ;D
The rear should fit straight on.

I've got the coilovers sitting in the garage, haven't had a chance to try them out yet though.
