Hi, I bought this Escort mk3 wing mirror to replace the bodged up glass in my other one on the car. Does anyone know if you can get in them to do this? I'd just replace the whole unit but the "new" one has an ajuster arm and i havnt got the back plate for it... and i'd rather keep it standard.

There should be a small hole on the underside you put a screw driver in and flick the locking ring one way to release the mirror then swap them over, not all mirrors have the hole though ?

If I remember correctly you have to use a screwdriver covered in tape to gently tease it out

I did see the hole in the replacement mirror , I'll have to have a look on the one on the car. If not ill have to saw off the adjustment handle (didn't think of that) ,but I'd rather not if I can help it.

Sorted now! They both did have the holes but I found out you can just pull them out if your careful.
