I used to run escort vans when they were new. Check for slack in the accelerator cable, this makes quite a difference to there performance. They are really high geared, so will never set the world on fire.

right boys and girls! had the old gal just over a week, and i've already been away in it! in doing so i think i've worked out what i need in a small camper. I thought i could get away with leaving the bulkhead in but after an unplanned afternoon kip (fell asleep after fitting the 'bed') it had to come out. Also found out when i brimmed it that the tank leaks so i lost £50 worth of diesel which.. displeased me. Also bought a £10 tent from the flea market at the show as without cupboards there was food and clothes falling on us so that was used as storage and to stop our spot being stolen. All in all i'm still happy with it, only a minor update i'm afraid, but i have plans for a fold out bed, insulation is thought out and measuring up cupboards and cooking space, oh, and a more permanent interior light!

I built my own teardrop trailer a few years ago and there was proberbly less room in that than in the eccy van........hmmmmmm.....autotrader beckons

Seats from center parks believe it or not! bought 4 chairs at a local auction £15 i think, just plonked the cushions in and fitted a bed sheet!

no build progress thus far I'm afraid, though i took it on a couple of trips

just a panel van..







Then i decided to make a right fool of myself and put 20litres of unleaded in it mixed with 1/2 tank diesel.. so it had to be pumped out via the diaphragm thing under the air filter pipe and replaced with 'homebrew' fuel. NOT me in the pics!
