I've always loved traditionally styled rods infact I have a long term model A project and I also have a soft spot for prewar British cars especially hot rodded ones and at the moment I'm awaiting an insurance payout on my Viva so I'm thinking about a new project along the lines of an early British car wings and running boards removed and the sidevalve replaced with something slightly more powerful A series, crossflow or triumph motor etc Anyone got any photos for inspiration I can't seem to find many

Has anyone got any pics of Cortina Ryan's Pop? I know it's probably a bit too new being a 50's car, but for me it summed up everything good about British Rods. EDIT: found a few....

Ford Pop 7W. Ford Pop 7Y Ford Pilot, Ford C Fords made lots of bodies pre war, there are the British Ts, As,and Bs, all subtly different to the US versions, British Model B had suicide doors and different swage lines, Check out Mike Keys B, that was a british Briggs body, The big problem with Brit Tin is the lack of support for body parts, where the more common cars have better spares backup for repair panels etc, I'm just starting to get the bits together for a brit-tin hotrod, retrorides.proboards.com/thread/151994/oh-dear

Pops may have been built until 1959 but the essential design dates back to the 7Y of 1937... Suspect that may have been inspired by this... Rottenpop 1.... and Rottenpop 2....

My most favouritest (is that even a word?) British 'rod evaaaarrrrr, Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you.................. Rubellion! From a humble Austin Ruby, this car has seen much evolution over the years. My favorite guise is almost this one. The same paint, wheels and stance, but imagine Crower fuel injection instead of the blower. An actual poster car on my bedroom wall as a teenager, but I'm damned if I can find any pics on the interweb of it with the injecion!
