Selling on behalf of my business partner Steve.
For sale is a 1986 Audi 100 Quattro, formerly magazine featured in Practical Performance Car (we have a copy of the magazine to prove).
This car has been off the road since December last year, and will need a bit of TLC to get back on the road. Steve bought it last year as a rolling resto project and drove it around until lay up, but having just had a new baby has devoured all his time and he simply does not have the time to continue work on this. Prior to laying up for the winter, the car was in daily use and drove well.
When he first purchased this, he also bought an identical spares car, which I help him break. Consequently, there is a massive comprehensive spares package included in the sale - including all glass (correct glass to the car - rear windows do have the quattro logo embellishment), bonnet, wings, rear quarter, lights, gearbox, diff, prop, headlights, doors, window regs, sunroof, bumpers, wheels etc etc - you WILL need a van to remove the spares.
The car itself has had a new radiator fitted, it has new tyres all round on the original Ronal alloy wheels (Porsche wheels in the pictures are no longer on the car). It has a full stainless steel exhaust system fitted last year at great expense. Steve has diagnosed that there are 2 rear bushes needing replacement and therefore bought the last five genuine Audi rear bushes available in the country ata cost of £150 to do this (with a few for spares). He has waiting to go on brand new calipers and flexi's, and there are spare good discs. He imported a rare Heckblende rear panel from Germany, which is also fitted. I am pretty sure there are other parts that have been replaced new.
I have taken some pictures of the car in its current state, but typically left my camera lead at work - these will be uploaded tonight.
In the meantime, here are a couple of (instagram) pictures of how the car looked last year prior to taking it to the Retro Metal show in Uttoxetter:
Here also are some photos that I took when breaking the spares car, we literally salvaged every single part we could from this vehicle as it was always Steves intention to fully restore this Audi to original condition:
I have taken more pictures of the spares we have, a picture of the mag feature, and a couple of pictures of the car as it sits (complete, not touched) which will be uploaded this evening.
Obviously the car needs a little attention for the MOT, as previously mentioned rear bushes - which are included with the car, I think the front brakes (again brand new calipers and flexi's included with the car). There is some signs of corrosion on the drivers rear arch - this could be easily repaired, but it is why steve took the rear quarters from the spares car. There may be a couple of other things - steve will be able to answer any questions in this area.
The car is in Burslem, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, at Steve's garage, and can be viewed by appointment.
The car, with the entire spares package (plus all the new parts) is up for £600 ovno. There is everything included with this car to get it back on the road and keep it on the road for a long time to come.
Contact Steve on 07525 845420.
EDIT: MUST GO BY THIS WEEKEND £400 for EVERYTHING bar the powerflow exhaust.
