OK, so it's not very retro - though to be fair, it is a full frame rear drive sedan with ancient suspension. I always wanted a police cruiser, but decided I'd have the civilian one I purchased 10 months ago has all the luxo barge goodies that I wanted - cruise, dual power seats, lumbar support, compass and so on. It's also got the digi dash option and a bench seat! This car is a year 2000 so it has the NPI - non performance improved - 4.6L SOHC Ford modular, rated at 200hp and 280 lb-ft torque. It came with 3.55 gears and true dual stainless exhaust from the factory, but it's still slow as all hell. Sounds great though. Open diff means easy brakestands too. Anyway, I know how you all like pictures, so here's a bunch. Enjoy!

Very nice! Does it still have the rear air suspension?
If you're looking at possibly upgrading some stuff on it, you might want to check out ADTR.net.

love it love it love it love it love it love it LOVE IT!
I'm a HUGE 'Vic fan! When we went to Florida last year I paid the extra £125 ontop of my "FREE" eco car hire to have the CROWN Vic! Love that car to bits! I would like to get one in this country but they're rare.
Even though it was way too big for just me and my girlfriend I loved every minute of it with my 97.3 Kcountry and the AC on! It came in handy getting all our stuff to and from the airport as my sister went too but they (4 of them) only had an Avenger with a poor boot!
I think all the time we had it our MP(us)G was about 20, only rising to 22 on the drive to Space center and back. Not that it mattered, pence per mile worked out to the same as my Diesel Passat over here!

Very nice! Does it still have the rear air suspension? If you're looking at possibly upgrading some stuff on it, you might want to check out ADTR.net. Indeed it does! Still works fine, though when it fails I may replace it with regular springs. It's good when I have a trunk full of things...I have seen ADTR, a lot of the stuff is too rich for me. I will put swaybars on it at some point, though I have an 04 CVPI intake and throttle body I'll be installing along with a tune soon. Wait, so its legal in the UK to have lights and sirens on an ex cop car? Awesome! They don't like it when you have those here. |

Just had a look at the website.....does the guy sell many?? At those prices, I seriously doubt he does. I paid a little over 1500 quid for mine, so I would find 24 grand to be rather ridiculous, even for a car that's almost a decade newer. I was going to say the same thing...I drive past this place from time to time and am usually wondering why its so expensive there...although the cars are very cool all the same. Lovely CROWN Vic tho. Keep us updated  |
