Something I want as I now have space to put it but no money to buy a nice shiny car -but what would be the fun in that anyway- so looking for something cheap for me to start to learn about cars on.So basically looking for anything that may have been standing in your garden or something you would otherwise scrap in the Sudbury-Ipswich area for free-£160 cars like: 205 petrol/tdi van/cti MK1-3 Fiesta MK1-2 golf MK1-2 polo Nissan Micra Basically anything with no or not much electronics. Would love a 3/5 door estate mk3/4 escort
But basically a field car

I've a 106 available but it's in Lancashire. ahh that is a shame, I do quite like them actually And thats a good idea about whip street, there's a clean rover p4 in a very local yard but he won't let that go cheap enough, but I'll ask around the local yards

The problem is a car is worth more than £85 in scrap alone. Only last week my local breakers scrapped a 2005 !! Micra, alloys .....
Very sad to watch, perfectly good cars picked up good tyres cut off good Alloys. The wheels thrown in a huge alloy skip. Battery taken off.then the car simply crushed. Nothing removed at all. The guy bringing it in was given £95.
They process a huge number of similar cars every day.

Yeah was talking about that today there is a lovely p4 in my local yard that hes trying to sell for £300 but I haven't got that much but he can't let go any cheaper otherwise he will lose money.

I think you will be really lucky to find a give away classic :-( Sadly those days have long gone.
A scrap car is worth well over £100 now, anyone with space is breaking them for parts.
i do really wish you luck though. have you Tried putting a wanted advert on Gumtree and one of the many Facebook sales type sites?

I got £200 for scraping a golf recently , so you might have to save up a bit more I'm afraid , especially if you will need cash to maybe get a car delivered , good luck anyway .

Sorry but i don't think you will find anything for less than scrap value . If you do it will obviously be completely shot and beyond repairing fpr a reasonable amount . I don't want to be rude but if you have so little money i doubt you would be able to afford parts /tools etc to fix it , let alone petrol .
